Bajo la acci\u00f3n de bombeo de un soplador, el material se transfiere a alta velocidad al \u00e1rea de clasificaci\u00f3n siguiendo el flujo de aire ascendente desde la boca de entrada del clasificador que hay situada en su extremo inferior. El material es luego separado gracias a la fuerte fuerza centr\u00edfuga generada por la rotaci\u00f3n a alta velocidad de la turbina clasificadora, tras lo cual las part\u00edculas finas que cumplan los requisitos de tama\u00f1o entrar\u00e1n en el separador cicl\u00f3nico o el colector de polvo a trav\u00e9s de los huecos en las hojas de las ruedas clasificadoras.Las part\u00edculas gruesas con parte de part\u00edculas finas impactan contra la pared y pierden velocidad, tras lo cual las part\u00edculas gruesas caen a lo largo de la pared hacia la salida de aire secundario, donde gracias al potente efecto de lavado de dicho aire separa las part\u00edculas gruesas de las finas.
